We're looking for a Director of Food Safety to join our growing team! You'll be the subject matter expert when it comes to everything food safety - you're familiar with implementing food quality systems, as well as managing them. Your top priority will be to ensure you're exceeding all quality and safety expectations.

About the role

  • Lead food safety efforts in all Blue Apron facilities to ensure proper protocols are being followed
  • Leverage continuous improvement in best practices to improve quality and food safety processes
  • Oversee all HACCP food safety audits and programs
  • Provide input on food safety issues to other team members and act as the lead on top priorities and projects
  • Identify areas to develop and optimize quality and food safety programs across the company
  • Gather data by developing new metrics and using the data to define ways to drive improvement
  • Primary contact for food safety programs, research, sanitation practices, and regulatory compliance
  • Act as food safety liaison to state and local regulatory agencies as well as identify where these needs exist in local, state and federal levels


  • Bachelorís degree required in Food Service, Quality Operations or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in food quality/safety
  • Strong influential management skills
  • Previous experience overseeing food safety programs in multiple sites
