This position is responsible for coordinating and managing the development of
performance based quality systems that provide direction and guidance to the
O-I North America organization. Responsibilities include development of
strategic quality advancement, laboratory and testing process, consumer
product safety, quality systems and metrics, and capability development
within O-I NA using lean six sigma tools.

- Integrates lean six sigma
projects that provide joint value to Company and customers.
- Develops metrics and data
analysis to track quality performance.
- Establishes communication
systems that provide quality feedback to Company
- Maintains quality system
integrity through ISO, Food Safety Quality or Company standards
- Provides oversight of document
control processes for quality systems
- Establishes and maintain
quality audit systems
- Develops and manages budgets
associated with the implementation of Glass Container Division Quality
Systems (SPC systems).
- Integrates quality systems from
global best practices
- Provides oversight for
implementation for quality system that establishes competitive packaging
advantage to our customers
- Leads and develops a team
responsible for laboratory and testing process, consumer product safety,
quality systems and metrics.
SCOPE AND IMPACT:
Scope is within O-I NA. Works with operational / manufacturing quality
managers, commercial / sales category quality managers and global quality
- Bachelor’s degreerequired
(Engineering discipline preferred)
- Strategic quality experience at
- LSS Master Black Belt
preferred, Black Belt or advanced problem solving methodology experience
- 5-10 years in manufacturing and
- Manufacturing experience
- Experience with food safety
certification process is required
- Commercial experience and/or
new production development experience preferred
- SAP experience preferred
- Packaging industry experience
