Job Description:

The Supply Operations Norwalk Beverage Plant, located in Norwalk, CA has an immediate opening for a QA Coordinator.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
**************************************************************************************************************
Work with state or federal regulatory inspectors and plant personnel ensuring ongoing compliance with a focus on maintaining and improving relationships.

Provide supervision and oversight for laboratory and syrup room function for production hours not directly supervised by QA Supervisor

Perform plant floor duties including, record keeping, product sample collection and analysis, Food Safety Team meetings, policy and procedure compliance, prerequisite auditing and active participation in the Quality & Food Safety Program.

Coordinate / Support GFSI (BRC) related activities and ensure compliance to company issued QA policies, associated programs such as quality and food safety internal audit inspections, corrective actions, complaint tracking, etc.

Collect information from plant floor operators ensuring compliance with quality standard operating procedures, KQI reporting, product specification and compliance, process control paperwork, etc.

Develop and implement new quality programs (sanitary ATP monitoring, additional ingredient and finished product monitoring) to meet corporate quality standards as well as improve existing programs and procedures.

Preparation and collection of microbiological analysis samples as well as tracking and interpretation of results.

Participate in and facilitate training of food safety and quality topics programs, policies, procedures, and documents for new hires,

Supervisors/Management, annually as required, or otherwise as needed.

Assist with plant process and product improvement, troubleshooting activities, ingredient testing, and new product introductions as needed.

Actively participate in continuous improvement processes, (RCA, A3, SPC, problem solving, Kaizen).

Able to perform QA Supervisor duties during QA Supervisor’s absence including conducting regulatory inspections and 3rd party audits.

QUALIFICATIONS:
**************************************************************************************************************
Four year college degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or Microbiology is highly preferred
-
Three – five years’ experience in Quality Assurance and laboratory experience.

Excellent PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point; ability to grasp additional business related applications.

High degree of initiative and sense of urgency.

Excellent analytical judgment with confidence to act.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and technical writing skills required.

Establish and maintain effective communication with internal and external customers.

Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills required.

Energetic, self-motivated and the ability to manage multiple projects and work with multifunctional teams.

Ability to motivate, lead and influence various levels of the organization.

Ability to work off shifts from QA Supervisor including evenings, nights, and weekends.
