Performs the following types of duties: takes a leadership role in all
phases of the development of nutritional product forms including tablets,
capsules, powders, and liquids; keeps abreast of scientific advancements in
product development areas; performs product and process failure analysis
and implements effective solutions; communicates and coordinates with other
departments; performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Knowledge of pharmaceutical processes, manufacturing equipment, simple lab
procedures and testing methodology, and GMP Regulations. Knowledge in
herbal and nutritional science preferred.
Skill : Skilled in development of tables, capsule,
powder, and liquid dosage forms from concept to implementation. Good math
and analytical skills are essential. Must be effective at managing multiple
tasks, and have good organizational skills.
Ability to communicate, work well with people, and
fulfill assignments in a timely manner.
BS in Food Science, Chemistry, or other applicable science field with 5-6 years work experience, or equivalent.
