ingredients for the food, confectionery and bakery industries
Location: Rhode Island
BS degree in a technical field (i.e., Food Science,
Chemistry, Engineering). MS a plus.
3+ years of relevant experience in the confectionery
Should possess in-depth confectionery panning,
ingredient and formulating knowledge.
In-plant confectionery, laboratory and process
experience is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to drive R&D projects.
Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation),
problem solving, critical thinking, organization, planning and management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Maintain a complete understanding of company
confectionery and food coatings and their technical attributes.
Manage research and development programs, using
“hands-on” technical expertise to create new confectionery and food
coatings, line extensions and improved production processes.
Coordinate ingredient sourcing, testing of new
ingredients, functional evaluations and approval process with Purchasing
and Quality Departments.
Assist in creating sales formulas and client
Stay abreast of culinary and consumer trends and
advancements in ingredient and confectionery processes.
Build reputation for customer-focused creativity by
delivering new ideas and coating solutions.
