Title: Corporate Quality Auditor

Location: E Hanover NJ

 

Position Scope:

·         This position is responsible for the realization of corporate quality audits.

·         Responsible for identifying, verifying, and reporting on potential or actual Quality Systems failures or non-conformities related to product safety and quality across the Mondelez International Supply Chain.

·         The person must be able to make an independent evaluation of the audited site based on the Mondelez International Quality Policies, accepted industry practices and all applicable regulatory requirements, and appropriately provide a rating.

·         The person will communicate regularly with internal customers including the Quality organization and Manufacturing.

·         The person may also interface with 3rd party auditing companies and external auditors, lead training program for extended auditing staff

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         80%  Realization of quality audits across the supply chain: e.g. Mondelēz plants, co-manufacturers, ingredient suppliers. The realization of audits includes: planning, execution and reporting. Much of this time is traveling away from the office within NA and LA

·         5%  Audit follow-up, including periodic communication of results

·         5%  Training to update skills

·         5%  Administrative activities: maintain tracking data, upload reports on applicable team sites and databases, expense reports, travel planning

·         5%  Support/lead update of assigned policies, procedures, auditing tools, new projects, etc. Support/lead training program for extended auditing staff, 3rd party auditors and others per plan. Review 3rd party audit reports for quality control and/or assignment of ratings 

Internal/External Relationships:

·         Mondelēz plants, external manufacturers and suppliers: the auditor should contact the facilities to be audited to plan the audit, once the audit is conducted, results will be communicated through an audit report; the audited sites should propose corrective actions for the non-conformities identified and the auditor will accept them or request more information. Follow-up activities may happen afterwards. This cycle is completed for every audit.

·         The auditor will communicate regularly with internal customers including the Quality organization, Manufacturing, Procurement and R&D.

·         External contact with 3rd party auditing companies and external auditors may be required


 




 

Qualifications

 

 

Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Required):

· BA/BS Degree Required

o Food Science, Food/Chemical Engineering, Food Technology/Safety, Food Microbiology (or appropriate related Degree) 

Experience:

Functional/Technical Expertise

· MIN 5yrs  - Experience in the Food Industry

· MIN 2yrs - Knowledge of Quality Systems, HACCP. Knowledge of ISO9001 and/or FSSC22000

· MIN 1yrs - Microbiology, Food Safety and Sanitation experience desirable. Knowledge of these subjects is required

· MIN 1yrs - Experience and/or auditing certification desirable, e.g.: GFSI, FSSC 22000

· MIN 2yrs - Practical experience in Mdlz foods/ingredients categories. Preferably high risk products, e.g.: cheese & dairy, nuts, aseptic and retort

· MIN 1yrs - Computer literate – Strong Microsoft Office skills, proficient in Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook

Abilities:

· Effective and Solid communication skills, both written and verbal

· Fluent written and spoken English required. Other languages desirable

· Ability to travel extensively within LA and NA (>60 %)

· Ability to withstand long hours of work in diverse food processing environment including hot, cold, moist, height, etc.

· Ability to solve problems and work independently in diverse multicultural environments and to collaborate with external stakeholders.
