This Associate Scientist will support a strategic industrial customer through development of new products with emphasis on understanding and applying new technology to the finished products.



·         Investigate and evaluate new ingredients, technologies and methodologies available to support seasoning product development

·         Apply knowledge of ingredients, flavors & methodology, their major vendors, and performance attributes (including flavor, functionality, and quality) to seasoning product development

·         Provide excellent product development support for a strategic industrial customer

·         Commercialize products (understanding of processes and operations for seasoning and ingredients manufacture)

·         Employ strong understanding of consumer and general sensory testing, including its application to product development

·         Design and manage experiments

·         Collect and interpret data



·         BS Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Chemistry or a related technical field

·         Minimum one year of product development experience

·         Relevant seasonings or flavor development experience in the food industry (co-op and internship experience will be considered)

·         Ability to interpret scientific data, including sensory and analytical, and commercialization

·         Desire and ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of people

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with external and internal customers

·         High degree of ownership and professional commitment

·         Proven success multi tasking in a fast paced environment

·         Curiosity and innovative thinking



·         Experience with SAP, product formulary and retrieval systems

·         Culinary interest and/or related training
