Research and Development Manager - (1600003N) - Erlanger, KY
This position requires an assertive, collaborative, curious,
results oriented technical professional to be responsible for managing a
team of Scientist, driving and monitoring product development projects
across a range of complexity and product life cycle. This person will work
cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Regulatory &
Group R&D on
all aspects of the technical development from upstream idea/concept
through production, launch and ongoing product, process and/or cost improvements.
A BS degree or higher in Food
Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering or related field
with 15-20 years experience in product development in the food
industry or related field, preferably in confectionery development with
increasing managerial responsibilities. With the following skills:
understanding of food science, food manufacturing processes and Good
Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
track record of product development, design of experiments and
process scale up.
and coaching experience, staff development.
to work in a manufacturing environment
to operate with changing priorities and timelines
math, verbal, and written communication skills
with MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.), Project Management,
Experimental Design Programs
to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 25% of the
time, and work irregular hours when needed
