Technologist - Product Innovation * The Wendy's Company, Dublin, OH (Job Number: PR 0002250)





Manages product development and optimization projects.  Assists with creative idea generation, formulation, product build, procedure development, testing and execution of new products. 


Specific Responsibilities Include

         Perform tests and collect data on ingredients, products, equipment and procedures. Compose spreadsheets, reports and documents to help inform fact based decisions.

         Work closely with the product development team and cross-functional partners to develop products that can be commercialized, implemented and executed in over 6,000 restaurants. Collaborate with our commercialization team and vendor partners to scale products up at their manufacturing facilities to ensure that quality and ingredient integrity is not compromised. Support all phases of operations testing and market testing to ensure successful system wide implementation.

         Manage the coordination to get products ready for internal and consumer sensory testing as well as offsite central location testing. Work with the innovation team to plan, prepare and execute high level and every day product tastings. Assist with the planning and execution of creative idea generation sessions. Manage the coordination of product for photo and commercial shoots at various locations locations across the country

         Bring innovative and creative thinking to the Culinary Innovation Kitchen with a business minded approach. Create protocepts and foods in the test kitchen to provoke new ideas and thoughts for what the future of our menu could look like.

This position will be based at The Wendy's Company headquarters in Dublin, a suburb of Columbus, OH. The Wendy's Company is the world's second largest quick-service hamburger company. Education / Experience

         BS in Food Science or Culinary Nutrition 

         AS in culinary

         1-3 years product development experience

         Proficient computer skills including outlook, word, excel and power point

         Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills

         1-3 years restaurant kitchen experience
