We are currently seeking a HACCP/Food Safety Coordinator for our Denver, CO facility. HACCP/Food Safety Coordinator provides direction and leadership in HACCP, Food Safety, GMPs, Sanitation, Pest Control and Zoning Programs to ensure plant compliance with all Nestle Hygiene, Sanitation and GMP requirements. Ensure the factory HACCP program is in compliance with the Nestle HACCP GIs and ISO 22000. Ensure compliance with all FSMS elements. Oversee the factory microbiological program and ensure compliance with NWNA and all state and federal regulations.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Conduct required HACCP walks, maintain HACCP program and documentation.

• Serve as Food Safety Team Leader

• Lead and conduct HACCP / Food Safety meetings and HACCP evaluations as required

• Provide training to employees including new hires and maintain training records and matrix

• Ensure all sections of FSMS are implemented and follow up to corrective actions

• Plant wide communication of NWNA food safety / quality incidents and CCP breaches

• Ensure local, state and federal regulations are met

• Auditing and troubleshooting audits including trending of internal and external audits

• Monitor and maintain factory UV and Pest Control Program

• GMP monitoring and implementation

• CIP program monitoring, maintenance, training, record keepaing and optimization

• MSR compliance

• Water processing management

• Review / monitor consumer complaints

• Evaluation and interpretation of microbiological test data

• Revise and maintain factory QMS and maintain and follow up on issues addressed in the Master Gap List

• Quality KPI reporting

• Monitor and maintain overall hygienic condition of facility

• Monitor and maintain factory Zoning and Brush Program

• Provide back-up / support for QA positions as needed

• Maintain / create all SOPs relevant to position

• Daily sensory participation and FMDB reporting

• FSBO and SBO program participation

• Support factory Release Program

• Support with raw material /finished product holds, records, disposition and root cause analysis

 

Key qualifications include:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology, Food Science /Technology or comparable field

• Minimum 2 years food / beverage manufacturing experience preferred

• Prior supervisory experience or peer coaching experience desired

• Knowledge of water chemistry and experience working with chemicals

• Strong microbiology / science background

• Auditing Skills

• SPC knowledge

• Extensive hygiene knowledge

• CIP and cleaning systems and procedures

• Water processing knowledge

• Corrective / preventive action knowledge and understanding

• Understanding of microbiological principles and test procedures

• High level of initiative

• Very effective written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

• Gap analysis and action planning

• Can demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision effectively

• Effective teaching, influencing, and troubleshooting skills

• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic and decisive nature.

• Computer skills to include proficiency with Microsoft Office software
