QC and QA technician - Jackson, AL

  • working in the QA /QC department and completion of task assigned to QA team
  • Ensure that all QA/QC processes and related activities are conducted in accordance with the written Quality Programs or Protocols/procedures & policies applicable to the facility.
  • part of the HACCP team and effectively manage the Quality Management System
  • included as point of contact for regulatory authorities (USDA, FDA, etc) and certifying bodies (Kosher, SQF, Organic,BRC ) where applicable/required.
  • Conduct Internal audits and verify the effectiveness of the quality management system and adherence to SQF/BRC code (ex: plant, hygiene, CCPs, sanitation effectiveness, allergen control)
  • Train and develop QA team and strengthening overall competency
  • Maintains regulatory awareness and synthesizes regulations, standards, and customer requirements, and communicates information to all appropriate departments
  • Manage complaints, root cause investigation, and implementation of corrective actions
  • Provide technical support for product development, and creation of labels and specifications
  • Active member of the Health and Safety Team.
  • Responsible for filing applications for Phytosanitary certifications for export purposes
  • Lead recall and crisis management teams and test adequacy of programs on an annual basis
  • Responsible for updating customer specific quality assurance forms, checklist and portals


  • Result oriented & self-driven professional, having the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem solving, decision making & multitasking skills
  • Good communication skills with keen attention to detail and able to lead a team.
  • Equipped with firm understanding of food safety, food security, and GMPs
  • Must have relevant of knowledge in SQF,BRC, HACCP and other related topics
  • Must have 5 years high level experience
  • Strong analytical skills and competency with computers and system


  • Degree in Science, Food Science or Quality & Food Safety Management.
  • Diploma Food Technology with over 3 years of food quality and safety experience, GMP, Cleaning & sanitation & equipment trouble shooting.
