Involved with the
control of quality and reliability. Designs tests and specifies inspection
and testing methods to be executed and documented. Testing for raw
materials, work in process materials, and finished goods. Analysis of
product failure to identify causes and possible remediation. May training
and write procedures for process controls, SOPs, etc.
Investigates customer issues
and complaints relating to quality to ensure a high level of internal
and external customer service.
Analyzes statistical data and
product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality
and reliability expectancy of finished products.
Formulates, documents and
maintains quality control standards and on-going quality control
Coordinate objectives with
production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to
maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
Creates, documents and
implements inspection criteria and procedures.
Interprets quality control
philosophy to key personnel within company.
Provides, and oversees the
inspection activity for products throughout production cycle.
Applies total quality
management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.
Interacts with vendors to
ensure quality of all purchased parts.
Creates and direct
environmental test functions and applications.
Maintain active role on
internal continuous improvement teams.
Design, develop and implement
quality control training programs.
Associates or Technical degree
preferred or equivalent work experience.
3 year quality experience in an ISO
or SQF regulated environment preferred.
HACCP and SQF practitioner
High school diploma required.
Proficient MS Office skills
Requires the ability to plan
and perform a sequence of operations where standards and recognized
operation methods are available and the making of general decisions
Must be able to read and use
