Stone Brewing is looking for
a QA Analyst to join the team!
The QA Analyst will carry out
and facilitate QA analytical support of brewing and packaging
processes. This position will require availability to work any shift
standardized analytical testing on in process and finished beer, which
includes but is not limited to the following: IBUís, Color, pH, Gravity,
Carbon dioxide, Dissolved oxygen, seam analysis, Turbidity, Forced
run and modify methods on the Gas Chromatograph and HPLC for VDK and other
packaged beer quality in bottles, cans, and kegs - including packaging
and track analytical data
and monitor experimental and pilot brews as they move through production
with QA and Brewery personnel to determine root cause and possible solutions
for analytical issues.
new analytical testing equipment and prepares for use in QA and the Brewery
in ordering chemicals, equipment, and supplies from lab vendors and tracking
lab supply inventory.
in the training of Brewery personnel on analytical equipment
in the maintenance of laboratory equipment and in maintaining a professional
and clean lab/tasting area.
and maintain laboratory data
stock solutions and media plates.
Taste Panels as required
with Brewery issues, including, but not limited to: Yeast culturing, small
batch brewing, cask production, and production brewing.
in special project work
train to cover microbiological methods and yeast propagation procedures.
safety within the brewery and lab at all times.

Bachelorís degree or higher in Chemistry, BioChemistry,
or related field. Brewing education preferred.
At least 4 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of experience and education. Experience with GMP and HACCP a
plus. Brewery or food/beverage manufacturing experience a plus. Must have
experience showing an understanding of the theory behind how the equipment
and tests work/measure analytes. Must have experience analyzing and
formulating data/test results and presenting results to all levels. Must have
experience using strong presentation and reporting skills. Must have
experience using different testing methods and developing those methods.
Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Licenses, Registrations: Brewing certificate or Cicerone program certificates
Skills: Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and
