FIELD QA/FOOD SAFETY INSPECTOR –
REPORT TO: DIRECTOR OF QA & FOOD SAFETY
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Primary job function is the monitoring of product quality during growing and harvesting and field employee’s adherence to Good Agricultural Practices. Must drive to surrounding areas and make visual checks on field conditions and submit written and oral reports of findings. Some overnight travel required. Candidate will also be working in and around production facilities.
Continuous use of both hands; including grasping, pulling and pushing. Walking and balancing on both feet on even and uneven surfaces, standing, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and reaching overhead and below the shoulder. Must be sighted.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Must have current valid drivers license with no DUI convictions. College degree in Biology, Food Science, or related field, or farming knowledge/experience preferred. Computer knowledge of Excel and Word are required. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Must be willing to travel; some overnight travel required. Must be able to pass pre-placement drug screen.
