Food Safety Compliance Manager - Mascotte, FL
Looking for a qualified individual that comes eager to learn. Entry level management position. Being in the food processing/agriculture side of things, be prepared to get a little dirty from time to time. You will be walking through poultry barns and the processing plant to conduct inspections. Duties and responsibilities are outlined below.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures our food safety program runs smoothly by verifying food safety documents, validating Standard Operating Procedures, HACCP program, and audits our Safe Quality Foods and Biosecurity program weekly on a local level. Conducts trainings for new and current employees. Develop site specific programs needed at the facility. Ensures deviations are documented and appropriate corrective actions taken. Follows up with corporate inspections and justification on action taken. Conducts accident investigations, reports claims for workers’ compensation and OSHA’s records; ensures certificates of insurance on outside contractors; conducts and attends safety and food safety committee meetings. Prepares monthly safety reports for General Manager and Corporate Safety Department. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university; or 2+ years’ experience and/or training is recommended for this position.
