As a food safety auditor, you play a crucial role in the mission of NSF International – to protect and improve human health. You will have the opportunity to travel, meet new people and learn more about many of the businesses you may frequent as a consumer. You’ll inform and educate restaurant, bar and hotel owners about specific standards while continuing to learn more about those industries and grow your skills.


Your key responsibilities:

  • Conduct food safety audits and summarize findings
  • Thoughtfully communicate results to clients
  • Manage your own schedule and workload





We’ll provide the tools and specific training that you will need to succeed. We’re looking for you to bring your excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously.


You must meet one of the following requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a science-based field (e.g. Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, related technical field), or
  • Second of third party food safety audit experience, or
  • Two years of food safety experience at NSF International


Additional Requirements:

  • ServSafe Certification, or ability to obtain this certification within 3 months
  • Ability to obtain Certified Professional Food Safety (CPFS) designation within 12 months
  • Ability to work from a home office and travel up to 70%
  • Ability to work weekends and nights
  • Valid driver’s license
