FOOD SAFETY PROGRAM MANAGER – Morrisville, NC & Charlotte, NC

FreshPoint Charlotte is searching for a dynamic Food Safety Program Manager. Qualified candidates are motivated, team oriented, ambitious self-starters with a proven track record in exceeding established performance standards.   

Candidates must have the ability to work non-traditional hours {evening, weekends and holidays} in order to successfully meet customers’ needs.  Candidates must also have the ability to work independently, communicate effectively within all levels of the organization, dependable transportation, and impeccable organization and communication skills.

Candidate is required to travel 26 weeks out of the year.  This position requires travel every other week between FreshPoint Raleigh and FreshPoint Charlotte Operating Companies.

What you will do:

  • Implements program requirements, policies, procedures, programs and training components of the food safety system.
  • Lead for product recall communications, regulatory inspections, Global Food Safety Initiative audits, and for interaction with customers on issues related to food safety.
  • Facilitates the document control program and reporting for system usage.
  • Tracking and communicating the Food Safety Key Performance Indicators and working with Operating Company stakeholders to seek continuous improvement in KPIs.
  • Partners with stakeholders from Operations, Merchandising, Finance, Sales, and HR/Safety to provide food safety leadership and subject matter expertise.
  • Perform any additional tasks as directed by management personnel.

What we require:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Animal Science, Biological Science, or Supply Chain/Operations from a four-year college.
