The Food Safety Manager is responsible for the
monitoring, implementation, maintenance, and assistance in validation of
the plant's HACCP, GMP, Sanitation, SQF and SOPs. Being a certified SQF
Practitioner is a plus but not required. Must have worked in a GFSI
facility (SQF or BRC) for a minimum of 2 years and understand SOPs.
Over see Sanitation department and manage
Pest Control program.
Review and maintain all HACCP Critical Control Points
(CCP's) monitoring steps to ensure compliance with HACCP critical limits as
required. Handle Customer Complaints and all corrective actions required
are completed and verified.
Manage internal audits and document audits in the
following areas: GMP s, SSOP, HACCP, and general facility condition.
Manage Customer Audits and provide Corrective Actions
Manage FDA registration and other license requirements
of the facility.
Be able to problem solve with Food Safety as well as
Production in mind.
Ideal Candidates will have the following
Education: A BS in Food Science is preferred, but hands
on experience and proper certifications can replace a degree.
Must have HACCP knowledge and training, and be able to
Knowledge and understanding of food safety systems
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal
communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Computer Skills: Must be able to write SOPs in a clear
and concise manner and use Excel for data interpretation
Bilingual preferred (Spanish/English)
MUST HAVE experience in a food processing plant
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG SCREEN
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN THE US WITHOUT SPONSORSHIP
