OIC also makes a leading regional foodservice brand, Cascade Glacier.


The Quality & Regulatory Compliance Specialist is a key team member who will help OIC ensure high product quality, innovation support and continuous improvement. This position is responsible for providing support, document control and oversight to a variety of quality and food safety programs including: labelling, suppliers and materials, organic, kosher and other certification agencies.

What you will do:

  • Organization and verification of all ingredient, packaging and finished product specifications and related documentation through a Master Register of materials
  • Ensure and maintain high level of Organic, Kosher, gluten free and other certifications. Maintain current certificates from vendors for materials, Oregon Ice Cream products and Co-Pack products as needed
  • Update certification programs annually and as needed; assist with the regular program reviews, agency visits and certification audits
  • Work with outside consultants on compliance for package labels following CFR regulations
  • Maintain and organize document control programs in various operating systems, including, but not limited to: vendor and material documentation, labeling, training
  • Research, coordinate, implement and train on assigned plant projects
  • Be a participant of the New Product Development Team; partner closely with Marketing, R&D and others to complete projects, provide information, etc.
  • Verify production formulas, documentation and product specification sheets; provide feedback and participate in process improvement or root cause analysis processes as appropriate
  • Collaboratively perform other duties as needed and directed to support the goals of the company

What you will bring:

  • Quality, food safety or related experience in a food manufacturing environment; Bachelorís degree in food science or similar field; or overall equivalent
  • Proven ability to learn and effectively use various computer operating systems, including Excel
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple priorities and strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal/writing) effectively

Work Environment:

The Eugene facility contains office, manufacturing and outdoor workspaces where this position is required to access and work. A person must be able to walk, sit and climb stairs; hear and talk; use hands to finger, handle or feel tools or controls; use hands and arms to reach. Occasionally lifting/moving up to 30lbs is also required; occasional lifting/transferring of objects may be required with assistance up to 75 lbs.
