JOB DESCRIPTION:

NutraGenesis is a leading provider of proprietary, branded, botanical, raw material ingredients to the dietary supplement and food and beverage industries. We are accepting applications for a new position in our Brattleboro, Vermont office. Reporting directly to and working together with the Vice President of Scientific Affairs, the Scientific Affairs Assistant will assist in technical and scientific matters related to Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), Product Development, Research & Development, sales support, and other duties in an office setting. This is not a lab position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist the VP of Scientific Affairs on a variety of projects in an office setting, not a lab (R&D, Product Development, technical support for the Sales and Marketing Teams, etc.)
  • Assist the VP of Scientific Affairs with completion of customer Quality Assurance questionnaires and oversight of product certification expiration dates
  • Assist the VP of Scientific Affairs with supplier and customer correspondence; collection, review, and documentation of necessary information, etc.
  • Develop, update, and manage timelines together with the VP of Scientific Affairs to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner, often with deadline pressures
  • Assist with scheduling and documentation of meetings
  • Maintain supplier confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential
  • Contribute to team effort by working with other colleagues to accomplish results as needed
  • Other tasks as identified

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum B.S. in a science-related degree and 3 years’ experience working in a science-related or science education-related field
  • Experience in the dietary supplement/nutraceutical industry is a plus but not essential
  • M.S. in a science-related field is an additional asset but not essential
  • Proficient in the following skills: Organization and Time Management, Written and Verbal Communication, Research and Reporting, Presentation, Proofreading, Microsoft Office
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Highly resourceful team-player who can also work independently
  • Position is in our Brattleboro, VT office
