Talking Rain, the maker of Sparkling Ice, is looking for passionate, creative, energetic and collaborative individuals to join a team that develops great tasting beverages. We are looking for people that can bring fresh ideas and new perspectives to our company. The key focus of the position is supporting BTI department through designing and analysis of product, consumer, and shelf life testing.

Essential Functions

  • Designs statistical models and data collection methodologies for consumer focused research. Analyze and interpret quantitative data using statistical analysis software programs such as R, SAS, or XL Stat. Prepare reports using data visualization techniques, such as charts and graphs, to illustrate the results in concise, non-technical language.
  • Evaluate syndicated point of sale data (IRI) and provide recommendations as needed.
  • Analyze data for each new product launch to set packaging materials specification.
  • Analyze Process Capability Indices (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk) to measure capability of manufacturing process to meet quality specifications.
  • Analyze data using SPC (Statistical Process Control) to control excessive quality and process variation in manufacturing.
  • Reviews Zontec to understand setting up alarms, assignable cause codes, control charts and reports.
  • Performs valid and reliable SWOT analysis on vendors and projects.
  • Develops and implement data collection systems and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
  • Explores new tests, processes, and methods to improve knowledge of consumer and product during development.
  • Designs, record and analyze shelf life and shelf life data. Researches into novel shelf life methodology methods.
  • Supports Talking Rainís Technology strategies by documenting data and independent, unique and patentable ideas that results from experimentations and concept generation activities.
  • Work with supplier network to deliver meaningful impact to the company (cost reduction, innovations, etc.)
  • Ensure food safety, quality, and SQF practices are followed at all times, notifying immediate supervisor of any food safety and/or quality issues.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelorís degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Statistics or related field required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of food/beverage data analysis preferred.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
