As a food product developer, you will be the ‘key ingredient’ within the Global Food Product Innovation Team focused on menu development , responsible for creating food that reflects an experience unique to Starbucks. In this role, you will be the brand steward for Starbucks accountable for developing new food offering and evolving current offering that is relevant to the brand equity focused on technique and culinary / competitive insights for our consumers.

Leveraging your previous experience, we will enable you to:

  • Immerse, Ideate & Incubate

o Partner with brand and strategy to define and consumer needs

o Immerse in consumer experience to define possibilities while designing relevant culinary sketches and concepts

o Protocept and collaborate with teams for successful commercialization

  • Lead

o Define possibilities and provide meaningful business solutions to meet our consumer needs

  • Grow

o Deliver results and develop deep understanding of consumer satisfaction associated with purchase frequency We’d love to hear from people with:

A strong culinary background with a passion for great food, an excellent palette and a creative edge
Culinary arts diploma and/or relevant food service industry experience an asset
Post-secondary education in Food Sciences or related field an asset
Experience working in a food production plant environment beneficial
Flexible work schedule (i.e. some evenings and/or weekends may be required based on production schedules)
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize projects and tasks in order to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Passion, creativity and desire to deliver the next line of great Starbucks menu items
