The Food Safety Documentation Specialist will provide support to the Bell & Evans Food Safety & Quality Assurance departments through the development and maintenance of administrative needs for the food safety system. The position will maintain food safety, quality, and regulatory documents related to supplier and co-packer approval, assist customers with documentation requests, and maintain product information and internal documentation systems as the master data coordinator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Verify information on all product specifications and lead initiative to transfer data into a new management system.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of specifications for work-in-progress and finished products for both internal and customer use.
Develop and maintain the master data register of all products, raw materials, packaging materials, processing aids, and labels for all facilities.
Maintain documentation for 3rd party certification bodies (NSF, PCO, EU, etc.). Work with key stakeholders at each facility to ensure documentation is accurate, relevant, and updated.
Manage supplier approval documentation requests for all customers, suppliers, and co-packers (letters of guarantee, audit certificates, product specifications, etc.).
Act as SharePoint administrator to provide support for food safety, product quality, and regulatory programs by assisting in the maintenance of department documentation.
Support internal auditing needs by participating in documentation reviews.
Provide support to the Quality Assurance department by participating in or leading projects, internal and external audits, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field and/or 1 year experience as a quality assurance professional in the food industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of USDA/FDA regulations and GFSI audit schemes.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes.
Action oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and data analysis skills.
Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision or in a team environment.
Exceptional ability with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with data management systems.
