Primary Objective:

The Food Safety Manager contributes to the Company’s success by developing, implementing and monitoring quality strategy programs to ensure the continuous supply of safe, wholesome and premium quality products to customers.

Nature and Scope:

The Food Safety Manager is responsible for the management and improvement of all food safety activities practiced through the entire baking process. This includes,but is not limited to food safety training, management of staff, implementation and maintenance of our HACCP program, auditing of quality and food safety practices, addressing of food safety complaints, and the scheduling and management of all aspects of food safety audits and documentation.

The Food Safety Manager is an integral part of the management team and works directly with other directors and bakery managers, along with production, packing, warehouse and maintenance teams. This position is also responsible for food labeling accuracy and compliance, and will lead the charge in monitoring food safety practices throughout Jerry’s Enterprises, Inc.’s bakery sector.


B.S. degree in food science or related studies

Good working knowledge of SQF Certification

HACCP trained and certified

Bakery operations management experience a plus

Familiarity with federal and state relations, 6 Sigma ISO, AID and GFSI Standards

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.)
