The Vice President of Food Safety and Quality Assurance is responsible for all aspects of the corporations food safety and quality programs that cover 3 company processing facilities located in Pennsylvania and Michigan.
In this role, you will be responsible to lead a team and organization to develop quality standards and programs which assures production of products to meet customers and Clemens expectations.
The position is responsible to lead the organization to maintain regulatory compliance with quality and food safety expectations and be the primary contact with the USDA, FDA agencies.
Grow the leadership abilities and technical knowledge of the team
Unify the team to common objectives
Remove obstacles within the organization to ensure success
Set expectations and hold team accountable
Coach direct reports on a weekly basis
Conduct performance reviews
Lead company efforts to develop programs to prevent food safety and quality issues
Strategy, Planning & Vision
Develop and implement a vision for Food Safety & Quality at CFG
Set strategy for FSQA team
Lead continuous improvement efforts for FSQA team
Lead budgeting process for FSQA team
Align resources to reinforce food safety and quality culture at CFG
Advocate for food safety and quality to CFG (2 way communication)
Present large scale food safety & quality issue resolution to leadership team
Participate in leadership meetings, USDA meetings, and customer meetings
Ensure KPIs are in place and being used to drive performance of the team
Review current projects of team
Provide feedback on work product and results
External Voice of CFG
Represent CFG and lobby the industry as it relates to food safety & quality
Ensure team is engaged in external committees and industry groups
Communicate industry and CFG information to customers
Communicate and respond to USDA, FDA, and other regulatory agencies
