Job Posting Title:
Works in a team-oriented
environment to support the design, plan, validation and implementation of new
products, line extensions, product improvement and technical service for TreeHouse Foods that meet product offering
requirements. This position will be responsible for the development and
reformulation of beverages, broths, sauces, gravies, and other food products
for processing and packaging in aseptic and retortable
the formulation, nutritional and process parameters needed to develop a new
product which meets the expectations of the customer. Understand the
impact of formulation cost on the overall COGs.
- Apply sound scientific methods in
all stages of development (including planning and executing trials,
analyzing data and defining solutions to reach product targets).
- Partner effectively with
cross-functional groups: Marketing, Sales, Market Research, Procurement,
Finance, Plant Management, Engineering, Vendors, Consultants, etc. to
ensure customer product, packaging and documentation requirements are
- Assist in the transfer of
technology to the operations team when commercializing the test product
to ensure a smooth transition to commercial volumes. Prepare batch
sheets and support on-site trials and/or first production runs.
Lead technical expertise on cross-functional project teams and technical
oversight of internal and external manufacturing start-ups and ongoing
- Set-up internal product reviews/sensory
- Complete analytical testing of
prototypes including pH, sodium, salt, density, brix, viscosity, etc.
- Maintain proper lab notes and
documentation on project work.
- Ensure all activities are in compliance with established safety standards,
regulatory requirements (FDA, UDSA & Kosher) NAFTA and Good
Manufacturing Procedures (GMP).

5+ years in Food Product Development preferred
25% or less travel required
