The Food Safety
Manager is responsible to implement and manage process control systems
and preventative actions in the food safety area. Manages HACCP and
Regulatory compliance issues. This includes food safety issues that are
controlled by SSOP, HACCP or other pre-requisite programs. Develops
employees through education, training, monitoring, and mentoring.
The Food Safety
Manager is responsible for further improving operations to deliver safe,
quality food to consumers. The individual selected will ensure Regulatory
Compliance to meet food safety objectives as well as oversee on-site lab.
Individual must be passionately committed to delivering scientific and
technological advancements that contribute to company objectives. The
Food Safety Manager sets the stage for great performance through
leadership in establishing a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Food
Science, Biology, Microbiology, or related field. Advanced degree
- Project management skills -
capable of working on and managing multiple high priority projects.
- Technical knowledge of food
safety, food science, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrates an understanding
of process control methods and application of preventative
- Minimum of 5 years of
experience in Food Safety Management preferred with experience
