The Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Manager, ill provide leadership, planning and ongoing support for The Christie Cookie Company’s quality assurance and food safety programs. The FSQA Manager works with operations to ensure the safety and the quality of all finished products from beginning to end; from receiving raw materials, preparation, to shipping. This is accomplished by leading and maintaining the company's food safety and quality assurance programs, including but not limited to: Good Manufacturing Processes (cGMP's), Allergen Control, Pest Management, Environmental Monitoring, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Food Safety Plans as well as providing associated training to employees. The FSQA Manager will work closely with operations to ensure that the company is producing a quality, safe food product while complying with customer and regulatory requirements.


  • SQF Practitioner or comparable GFSI scheme
  • PCQI Certification preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in food production, experience with baking a plus
  • 5+ years of supervisor experience
  • 3+ years in quality/food safety function related to food production, must include the below:
  • oversight of GFSI systems; HACCP systems;
  • Customer Audits/interactions;
  • Knowledge of food regulations
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficiency with word processing and report writing
  • Ability to analyze data and make determinations
  • Ability to organize systems and implement
  • Ability to provide presentations and training


  • Oversight over the Quality Department
  • Manage employee training on Adams Group SOPs, Food Safety and HACCP
  • Create, maintain & review Christie Cookie SOP, Forms, HACCP
  • Complete various customer or regulatory required documentation relating to food safety
  • Schedule and manage regular HACCP/food safety requirements (Mock Recall, annual HACCP review, HACCP required events, annual food safety audit)
  • Assist management in building and maintaining various food safety and HACCP programs, including supplier documentation and qualification
  • SOP writing and amending
  • Third party audit organization and completion
  • Documentation of audits and control of documents
  • Other food safety and HACCP projects as needed
  • Responsible for validating any changes to food safety plans/systems or prerequisite programs
  • Responsible for ensuring verification and validation of food safety programs, HACCP and Prerequisite program
  • Maintenance of SQF Food Safety and Quality system
