 Job Summary: Center of Excellence focused product development (formulation and strategy).

Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary
- PDM I is the entry-level position, for smaller or less complex portfolios
- Responsible for product development activity as assigned on a per project basis
- Conducts initial assessments of each development project to identify the nature and scope of any technical, regulatory and food safety challenges as early as possible
- Uses knowledge and expertise to develop the product portfolio and own suppliers
- Participates and contributes to new idea generation and prototype development as needed / assigned
- Interprets product portfolio industry and consumer trends
- May recommend product development ideas
- Ensures designs and product objectives supports merchants' category plans, assortment strategies, price point, and overall creative direction
- Directs vendors in achieving product execution, maintenance of design
Education and Experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or related field preferred or comparable experience
- Master's Degree preferred
- 6+ years experience in the industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Physical and Other Requirements
- Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment
- Travel by car or airplane with overnight stays
- Travel globally with extended stays
- Sit for an extended period of time
- Lift 20 lbs or more on a regular basis
- Work extended hours
