Food Safety Solutions Inc. is the exclusivedistributor of the nation's leading School Food Service Safety and SanitationProgram - SFSPac® providing Food Safety Site Audits, Food Safety Education andSupplies to Public School Systems in the Mid-Atlantic region since 2000. We are seeking a Food Safety Specialist toprovide our SFSPac® and Dishmachine Detergent Programs to current customerschool districts in Delaware. We arefirst and foremost a food safety education company providing"over-the-shoulder training" to our sites 8 times per schoolyear. Managerial/Supervisorial experienceis a "must" to allow great success and expansion in our company.
The person we are seeking will be professional, have apositive and upbeat attitude, strong work ethic with a commitment to servingcustomers (internally and externally). The successful candidate will join our teamof Food Safety Specialists that visit their School kitchens. Each Specialistfollows a nationally-designed food safety audit and education program. Theywill also provide sanitation materials and supplies as part of their regularvisit.
Once trained on our programs, and with practice, this personwill also enjoy educating, training and coaching customers in small and largegroup settings (mostly small levels initially) on topics related to the programsthat we provide. This candidate should have hands-on technical ability; lightmechanical/electrical/plumbing are used to install, troubleshoot and repair ourdigital dispensing systems. Food Safety, Sanitation, Warewash DispensingSystems, HACCP and OSHA Compliance certification training will be providedthrough classroom and on the job. AllSpecialist become Servsafe Instructors and teach small and large groups, aftertraining and coaching. This is anindependent, daily "road-warrior" position with support and training.
Since our schedule revolves around an academic calendar, ourbusy season begins in August and wraps in mid-June. During this time, days seeing customersusually begin between 6:00am and usually wrap up between 2 and 4pm. (Traveltime may be separate in some cases.) Weekends and evenings are typically offwith the exception of Food Shows and conferences that we attend twice per year.Summers are spent doing periodic maintenance and education with our customers.
The Compensation for this position will include startingsalary of $40,000, company vehicle for business use, business credit cardaccount, cell phone/pda and uniform items. Healthcare (HSA) and Dental isavailable as a shared expense. Vacation and matching 401K are part of ourlong-term commitment to each other.

Excellent driving record and background check are requiredfor work in elementary school environments. Random drug testing is an activepart of our company policy. Ability to lift 50lbs regularly and ability to workin and around a dishmachine environment is a requirement.
