Overview - Develops documents, oversees, ensures implementation, and reviews programs, standards, and procedures related to food safety and quality assurance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Examples include programs related to CGMP’s, HACCP, allergens, product recall and traceability, customer complaints, formula control, non-conforming program, sanitation effectiveness, pest control, foreign material, chemical control.
Assists in leading the plant in assessing food quality and safety and other initiatives to improve products and processes related to quality, food safety and consistency. As a key member of the plant quality management team, you'll provided quality and food safety training to employees.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have previous quality assurance experience in the meat industry and GFSI certification experience, solid knowledge of USDA regulations and policies, ability to handle customer and global standard audits, experience in addressing quality and food safety issues from both a corrective and a preventive position.
