Job Summary

Our R&D summer internship program is where students are given:

  • A summer research project
  • Perform the tests themselves (with the help of their fellow interns, their supervisors and other food scientists onsite),
  • Gather their research data and present that research to the R&D departments as a mini thesis.
  • Experience in meat lab/pilot plant or food processing plants is a plus.
  • Experience with a R&D environment is also a plus.

Preferred:

  • Juniors (going into their Senior year with plans to go to graduate school)
  • Seniors (going into graduate school) and
  • Graduate students (where their supervising professor approves).

Concentrations:

  • Food Science,
  • Meat Science
  • Poultry Science (food processing focused) students.

This is a paid internship position. Start and end date are flexible but anticipated to June 3rd – August 6, 2019.
