You will be
responsible for applying food science principles to product development to
create foods from concept to design to market. You will be collaborating
with the Food Science team and culinary chefs to refine recipes with the
ability to scale for product launches. You will collaborate closely with
Marketing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Operations to develop new
Work with chefs, culinary
consultants, and agencies in taking recipes from concept to production
Formulate recipes to scale
up, make repeatable, shelf stable, and food safe.
Develop and maintain food
products that comply with regulatory requirements or customer
Develop specifications for
all raw materials, process controls, and finished goods.
Procure and provide costing
analysis of raw materials for developed formulas.
Work cross functionally with
sales, operations, procurement, QC, etc to
ensure smooth flow of new product launches
Manage multiple projects at
once, while ensuring deadlines are met to get prototypes developed.
Conduct sensory on all
Works closely with our
ingredient and packaging suppliers on the technical characteristics of
our materials and troubleshooting of ingredient performance.
BS or MS in Food Science
1-5 years’ experience in new
product development process.
Worked with different methods
Knowledge of physical
properties and chemical composition of food and ingredients.
Knowledge of extensive areas
of food science and technology and experimental procedures.
