Food Safety Supervisor
To lead the continual development and implementation of the SSOP & HACCP plans to meet USDA regulations, Perdue and customer expectations regarding food safety. Monitor/verify production SSOP/HACCP records. Monitor plant GMP’s and other pre- requisite programs daily. Be proactive in the identification of problems before they develop utilizing SPC tools or other tracking/trending analysis skills as necessary.
Develop programs and procedures to ensure regulatory and Perdue Food
Safety requirements are met and maintained. Communicate to and train all
associates prior to their implementation
Bachelor of Science or Arts degree preferably in Food Science, Animal Science, Poultry Science, Operations Management, Biology, Chemistry and 2-3 years or Commensurate experience. HACCP Certification, Knowledge of USDA Regulations including GMP/SSOP/HACCP and Labeling. Must have experience with Food Safety/Plant style audits. Be familiar with HACCP /SSOP requirements to include monitoring and implementing validation processes. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multitask while maintaining required timelines. Knowledge/experience with Microsoft computer software.
