The Quality/Safety Manager (QSM) must be highly qualified with general supervisory experience, and must have at least 5 years specific food production oversight experience in cafeteria style or multi-entree operations providing complete meal service (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Military food service experience in the pay grade of E-7 or above may be credited as management experience for this position. At a minimum, the QSM must have current food protection manager certification and must be able to demonstrate application of Hazard Analysis and Cre=itical Control Point (HACCP) principles. The QSM must possess knowledge to evaluate the Contractor's performance in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.

The QSM must also possess the ability to identify, analyze, develop, evaluate, advise and promote improvements in the Contractor's performance and the Contractor's Quality Control Plan. The QSM is also responsible to extablish program objectives; performance goals and assess progress; operational metrics and key indicators for process control and on-going quality process improvements; and conduct root cause and corrective action analysis.
