Wicked Good Cupcakes was started by mother and daughter Tracey and Dani in their kitchen in 2010.  They opened their first retail bakery in October of 2011.  In April of 2013, they debuted on Shark Tank and ultimately did a deal with “Mr. Wonderful”, Kevin O’Leary.  The rest they say is history.  Wicked Good Cupcakes is now the largest shipper of cupcakes in the US.   We are looking to grow our team in our corporate headquarters and bakery in Hanover, MA.

Food Safety and Compliance


                                                               Job Overview        

Oversees and monitors compliance to all applicable FDA, USDA, EPA and OSHA regulatory standards.  Provides support for Operations team as well as Customer Service for all Quality & Food Safety, Occupational Safety and Environmental concerns. Engages team members and ensures team members are provided ongoing skills development and coaching to improve food safety, safety and environmental job performance.  



Primary Responsibilities

§  Provide monitoring and internal audit support for Food safety, Occupational Safety and Environmental Regulatory Compliance.

§  Monitors all HACCP requirements and regulations

§  Perform Food Safety Plans, Food Defense, On-going and Refresher training based on the Food Safety Program

§  Monitors warehouse storage conditions and employee practices

§  Monitor calibration of all measuring equipment within facility: Scales, Thermometers, Repackaging Machinery, etc.

§  Environmental sampling program monitoring and physical sampling

§  Manage Safety Data Sheet program for all chemicals in facility

§  Perform other job-related duties as assigned



Minimum Qualifications

§  Bachelor’s degrees in science/business or High School degree with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in relevant food safety, safety, auditing, field

§  Certified in HACCP or obtain certification within first 3 months of employment.

§  SQF Practitioner certified or obtain certification within first 6 months

§  Preventive Control Qualified Individual certification or obtain certification within first 6 months of employment.

§  Knowledgeable in OSHA General Industry Safety and Health Regulations and relevant Federal and State Environmental Protection Regulations.

§  Good PC skills, including experience using Windows, Word processing, spreadsheets, and email software

§  Ability to communicate complex and detailed information verbally and in writing

§  Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently

§  Ability to work varying shifts and weekends

§  Ability to understand and follow English instructions

§  Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same

§  Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
