QA Associate (HACCP, CoA, Audits, Food Safety) will support preparation for audits and drive HACCP and SQF compliance; and the implementation, enforcement, and compliance guidelines. Champion Food Safety and industry-specific quality guidelines. Reviewing, uploading and verifying specific documents. Work in a QA compliance environment focused on document management, compliance, quality audits, risk assessments, HACCP, SQF initiatives, manufacturing compliance, and product quality documentation. Bilingual (Spanish) a plus! The Quality Assurance (QA) Associate position has great potential for growth.


Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Site preparation for quality audits and compliance verification.

Quality Specifications; document management and organization, quality audits, risk assessments, HACCP, SQF initiative, manufacturing compliance, and product quality documentation

Training new and current employees on Quality standards and Quality Compliance.

Updating and revising all Quality Documents

Supply Chain Management, Inventory Shipping & Receiving oversight

Support Vendor Management,  Customer Service, Customer Complaint Management

Allergen Documents creation, revision, updates, and logging of associated verification docs

Manage Certificates of Analysis (COAs)

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Management

Enforce proper documentation

Daily Worksheets verification and record-keeping



Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Ensure site readiness and compliance in preparation for quality audits and compliance verification.

Interpreting, implementing and evaluating the adequacy of quality assurance standards.

Drafting and implementing Food Quality policies and procedures.

Support training to meet quality standards. HACCP, SQF and QA processes and standards

Development of sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data

Monitoring and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality and compliance with product specifications.

Internal audits and other Quality Assurance (QA) activities.

Development of corrective, preventive actions and monitoring for efficacy and conformance.

Investigation of customer complaints and other quality assurance activities.

Collection/ compiling of statistical quality data and preparation of quality reports.

The review of quality and inspection systems for efficiency.

Analyzing data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.

Assuring ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.

Monitoring risk management activities.

On-site audits conducted by external providers




Bachelor's (BS) in Biology, Food Science, or related field.

Min. 2-5+ yrs. of experience in Quality Assurance (QA), Food Safety, and Audit readiness

Min. 2-5+ yrs. of experience in the Food & Beverage industry; Production, and Packaging

Prior relevant, industry-specific work experience, internships in Food & Beverage

Associates (AS) level candidates with 2+yrs experience in Food Safety & Audits will be considered.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus!

Excellent written, verbal and communication skills

Intermediate Computer skills a must; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SAP,

Ability to interact with multiple levels of management throughout the organization

Strong attention to detail, organization and time management skills

Ability to work independently, and as part of a team

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases

Knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of Quality Assurance (QA)

Attention to detail, data collection, management, and analysis

Planning and organizing Quality Compliance initiatives

Problem analysis, problem-solving and decision making

Energetic, forward-thinking, creative, high standards, good judgment

Team player and customer service oriented

Excellent oral and written communication skills (must be able to write SOPs)

Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus!
