Nutrition and Performance Beverages was founded in 1993 with one goal in

supplements and performance beverages in the World. Our top line Brands
consist of VPX, Redline and Bang. We are in need of
a Food Scientist to join our fast-growing company. Responsibilities will
include but not be limited to the following:
Uses fundamental food
chemistry, applied physics and material science knowledge to develop
innovative products using proprietary protein ingredients.
Creates product formulations
and systematically evaluates their performance, stability and shelf
Evaluates and understands
different ingredient functionalities as it relates to product
performance and overall stability.
Defines processing methods and
controls parameters in collaboration with Food Process Engineers.
Supports scale-up and
technology transfers to contract manufacturers.
Works with suppliers to assess
multiple ingredient sources in relation to functionality and quality.
Collects technical information
in support of nutritional label generation and product claims.
Develops project plans to
achieve project goals based upon well-founded research approaches,
track progress and adjust plans based upon research results.
Bachelor degree in Food Science
with 5-7 year's industry experience.
experience on protein shakes and protein bars is highly
Proficiency in food formulation
development across multiple food product categories for foodservice
Technical expertise in ingredient
chemistry as it relates to functionality and stability in food
Familiarity with CGMP and basic
principles of food safety.
Excellent written and
communication skills required.
