POSITION OBJECTIVE:



The FSQA Supervisor is responsible for supporting the FSQA Manager in developing, implementing and enforcing Food Safety Programs for the South San Francisco, Daly City and Burlingame facilities to maintain FSMA compliance. Monitors and maintains Food Safety and Quality Programs to ensure compliance with all applicable Federal and State Food regulations.



POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures that the businessís food safety program is up-to-date and accurately maintained including FSMA, HARPC, GMPs
  • Supervises, coaches, trains, and develops QA Inspectors on the FSQA programs.
  • Implements corporate FSQA programs in all facilities.
  • Works closely with Food Safety Manager to develop and maintain FSQA programs such as HARPC, Food Defense, Traceability, Environmental Monitoring etc. in all facilities.
  • Develops and maintains documentation such as forms, policies and procedures related to food safety to keep up with changing requirements.
  • Develops and facilitates training for food safety requirements.
  • Participates in food safety audits. Responsible for verification of corrective actions executed by other departments.
  • Knows how to recognize, prevent and alleviate food safety hazards in the food plants
  • Monitors GMPs and food safety practices. Identifies deviations and works with management to implement corrective actions.
  • Functions as FSQA Assistant Manager on 2nd shift during peak seasons.
  • Participates in safety meetings and implements new requirements with QA inspectors.
  • Completes additional projects as assigned by Management.

 

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-5 years of Quality Assurance experience in the food industry.
  • Bachelor degree in Food Science or related science field.
  • SQF Certification or knowledge of SQF standards.
  • Must be HARPC certified, PCQI Certification desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, proven ability to supervise and motivate employees.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated high level of initiative.
  • PC Proficiency: Windows, MS Office (or equivalent software)
  • Conversational Mandarin a plus
