Culinary International is a fast-growing co-packer with a team of over 200 people committed to making high quality frozen and refrigerated packaged food. We are a manufacturer of frozen and fresh entrees, snacks, and similar products, in a variety of packaging, including pouches, bowls, and trays.

As a product development food scientist, you will be involved with a project from conception to commercialization through implementation, including packaging design. You will be working closely with internal departments to manage projects through to completion.

  • Participate in product development ideation.
  • Development of new products, and improvement to current products, through proper formulation and organoleptic evaluation.
  • Communicate with various departments in the product development process.
  • Participate in technical formulation, specification development, data collection, and procedures implementation.
  • Communicate with customers in relation to R&D bench top and trial run procedures.
  • Participate in USDA labeling, organic certification, nutritional analysis, ingredient allergen management in recipe development, etc.
  • Participate in packaging development including research into packaging concepts.
  • Track and manage projects through the companyís product development process.
  • Participate in continuing education to keep abreast of latest developments in food science.


  • B.S. Food Science or related Field.
  • Minimum 2 yearsof product development, process development, or similar experience in food related industry.
  • Experience in factory environment, scaling from bench top to commercialization a plus.
  • Experience in USDA formulation development (meals, snacks, appetizers, fried foods) a plus.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to interface well, and collaborate with, internal departments, customers, and suppliers.
  • Be highly self-motivated, proactive, demonstrate initiative, and think critically & analytically
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Exceptional organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment and adaptable to change.
  • Occasional travel required.
