The Compliance Specialist is responsible to support the site to help meet established regulatory requirements and ensuring quality compliance to Mann Packing/Del Monte Fresh standard.
Regulatory Compliance: Assists in the implementation of all plant, company and government standards for Food Safety, HACCP, GMP’s , product registrations and FSMA initiatives
Internal Auditing: Supports Compliance Team Leader by scheduling and tracking findings to closure for the internal audit process against Del Monte Fresh and regulatory standards
CAPA and Nonconformance Systems: Documents status of the CAPA / Non-conformances programs to meet the expectations of the standards and regulatory requirements and communication of results to the site teams
Management of Change: Coordinate follow up meetings to report status of the Change Controls opened at the site, track activities status to meet due date defined on MOC program, report status to site teams
Documentation: Maintains the documentation used during the product release process to keep site organized and audit ready, accordingly with the GDP’s
Prinicpal Duties & Responsibilities
Tracks and executes adherence to Food Safety Programs. Includes tracking closure of FAP items and maintaining a documentation system with metrics for compliance to cGMPs / FSMA requirements.
Documents and tracks progress of the plant quality Internal Audit program which also consists of KPI communication & Forward Action Plan tracking.
Assists in tracking the execution of the CAPA / Non-conformances programs to meet the expectations of the standards and communication of results to the site teams
Communicates follow up actions and closing verification in compliance with Quality Standards and applicable regulations of all Internal and external audit findings and CAPA program. Tracks and communicates site KPIs of forward action plans for internal and external audit findings
Updates Regulatory documentation to support product registration and plant compliance for the site which includes working with procurement and regulatory teams
Supports documentation specialist to ensure all documents related to production are reviewed for all finished product release criteria, HACCP and cGMP’s compliance prior to release and are properly controlled for audit readiness
Tracks progress of Management of Change program and reports status to the team,
Performs training to site team on standards and compliance activities
Other support activities as required

5+ years of experience in a Quality related field
5+ years manufacturing environment or prior internship experience
Working knowledge of Food Safety and FDA regulations
Experience using SPC, Minitab, or other statistical tools
Expected Areas of Skills:

Knowledge of Auditing
Ability to quickly learn and utilize computer applications, i.e. windows, SAP
