Position Summary: The Food Safety Auditor helps ensure that the objectives of our food safety and sanitation program are met so that our pack-lines are ready for production. The Food Safety Auditor objectively and impartially inspects, and documents non-conformities related to our company hygiene, food safety, general safety, and housekeeping guidelines, which in turn helps us ensure that our product remains safe for human consumption.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Conducts systematic visual inspections during night sanitation crew shifts.
  • Verifies that performance standards are met by using objective tools such as an ATP meter.
  • Maintains a professional level of communication with the Sanitation Supervisors.
  • Documents and reports non-compliance issues to the Sanitation Supervisor and management.
  • Daily, transports workers to and from the company provided housing and worksite; using company provided 15 passenger vans.

  • Adaptability- can adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.


Education, Certification, and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • HACCP Certification preferred but not required.
  • Experience and other training or certification may be substituted for education.


Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred


  • Basic Math Skills- can read and identify percentages and fractions.
  • Computer Skills- proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Communication- has excellent oral and written communication skills; can edit own writing for spelling and grammar, record numerical data effectively, and read and interpret written information.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to a typical fast-paced production environment —high industrial and agricultural equipment traffic, extreme temperatures in an environment exposed to dust, peach fuzz, and other natural elements. Employee is expected to travel to the different locations (within 50 miles radius distance from primary location) to interact with employees in multiple processes (e.g., onboarding, training, etc.).

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, overtime, double-time, and holidays throughout the duration of our pack season (May to October); this is critical to support the needs of the business and is subject to change.
