As part of our FS/QA team, you would conduct routine sanitation checks, ensuring that HAACP and USDA regulations are strictly enforced. Providing technical expertise to track product from start to finish, and develop corrective actions when needed. You will be responsible for ensuring that we are able to safely deliver the best Smithfield, Eckrich, Nathanís Famous, or any of our product brands to customers and consumers.

 

This position monitors operation procedures to ensure Q.A. standards are met at a minimum cost.

Core Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:

  • Monitors and communicates processing procedures in manufacturing and packaging.
  • Records review of daily manufacturing and packaging operational documentation.
  • Monitors raw material handling procedures (inspection, rotation and fat analysis).
  • Monitors product testing and performance.
  • Ensures compliance with all established safety procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorís degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in Food Science, or related field, and 2+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelorís degree with prior QA experience in the food industry, preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.
  • Ability to work in an organized, efficient manner with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and follow-through.
  • High level of mathematical and analytical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage several activities / projects at once, to organize / prioritize work, to meet deadlines and to prepare plans and budgets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as a project leader and in a team based environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
