What youâll learn & achieve::

The Technical Manager, GMP/Quality Systems is responsible for the management of strategy for the GMP, Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS) audit business in conjunction with business leadership.


  • Manages schedule of audit process and work load projections for assigned audit staff.
  • Manages budget for specific areas of business and costs related to the onboarding and training of new auditors and in-field monitoring of existing audit team.
  • Manages and develops programs for productivity and performance improvement.
  • Oversees the functions related to assessment tool development/improvement, technical review committee, competent evaluators, and program leads.
  • Ensures audit work is done consistently and efficiently through district leads, competent evaluators and Auditors. Develops best practices for operational protocol.
  • Manages the auditor onboarding and auditor competency analysis programs as well as overseas the identification, contracting and termination of auditors.
  • Manages the performance of direct reports by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing feedback and guidance, and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.
  • Supports Accreditation Audits as needed.
  • Supports the development of relationships with new business targets and the development of new services required of the GMP, QMS and Food Safety business strategy.
  • Completes client audits as needed due to resource gaps and as required to gain/maintain auditor credentials.
  • Completes client advisory services as needed based on skill set, expertise and available resources.

What makes you a great fit::

  • University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree) in Science or a related disciplines plus eight years of directly related experience.
  • Subject Matter Expertise in the FDA regulated consumer product(s) (Pharmaceuticals, Dietary Supplements, Cosmetics, Personal Care, and/or Food) industries
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative and innovative thinking to problem solve and streamline processes.
  • Ability to remain, objective and professional in challenging situations.
  • Ability to work in fast paced work environment both independently and in a group setting and to interact with all levels of staff.
  • Ability to lead the team to improve the performance in quality and build productive capacity.
  • Proficient in internet navigation, e-mail and PC software such as Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in quality, vendor and/or operation management of consumer product(s) manufacturing, testing or retailing.
