In conjunction with the SHE director and other regional
SHE managers, he/she will participate in the development and implementation
of corporate safety programs and management systems. Provide direction to SHE
professionals, plant leadership teams and employees in all matters related to
safety including goal attainment for each facility under his/her direction.
He/she will evaluate the effectiveness of the safety program and recommend
modifications as needed to reduce injuries and illnesses.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
efforts toward building safety programs and improving culture to reduce
the incidence of worker injuries.
and continuously improve safety procedures, standards
and tools of the safety program (self-assessment, job aids, training,
and/or assist in the implementation and maintenance of safety procedures
standards and programs in the facilities under his/her purview.
quality, timely and professional subject matter expertise and support to
ensure that a safe, sustainable, efficient and
legally compliant work environment is established in the facilities
under his/her region.
with SHE managers to ensure that safety strategies and programs align
with regulations, corporate expectations, and policies.
accident investigations conducted by SHE managers for identification of
accident causes and measures taken to prevent reoccurrence.
in the strategic and business goal planning within the corporate SHE
department to enhance the safety performance of the region.
operational and strategic leadership to SHE managers and is accountable
for appropriate escalation and resolution of issues.
and mentors less experienced SHE professionals
and measures performance metrics and improves processes, as needed.
and conduct safety audits as directed.
in safety, science or related disciplines
8 years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing environment
required or 10 years of experience in safety and a two-year degree
Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
and understanding of OSHA and use of US and International safety
standards - American National Safety Institute (ANSI) International
Standard Organization (ISO) required.
experience with direct and/or indirect reports, ability to influence,
works collaboratively and builds relationships at all levels.

applying ingenuity, innovation, and creativity.
to multitask and prioritize tasks.
to work in a self-directed fashion and a fast-paced environment.
