Basic qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Biology, Regulatory,
or related field, and a minimum of 6 years of experience managing Food Safety
and Regulatory Compliance at the enterprise level
Deep, demonstrated knowledge of the Retail Food Code and food safety
standards and regulations governing the grocery industry (local, state, USDA,
FDA) and experience interacting with local regulators
Experience with design reviews, food safety auditing, and/or inspections
Experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements and using data
to measure performance; and
Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team,
including adherence to core values and dynamic corporate culture.

organized self-starter to join our Food Safety, Regulatory Compliance, and
Quality team, supporting our physical grocery stores.
You will work with multiple stakeholders on design, permitting, launches, and
program development. You will leverage deep Regulatory and Food Safety
expertise to drive cross-functional solutions for issues related to site
design, construction, fixtures, refrigeration, storage, training, product,
and transportation. To achieve on-time and successful launches, this position
requires a self-directed individual who can proactively identify Regulatory
and Food Safety risks in net-new business scenarios. You will engage directly
with local health departments. You will create and monitor business metrics
to track compliance and process effectiveness, and you will define the
cadence of reporting to businesses and stakeholder groups. Significant
experience managing food safety and regulatory programs at the enterprise
level in the retail food environment is a must. This is an exciting

Solver: Ability to utilize data and problem-solve in ambiguous
situations.
Preferred qualifications
MBA, MS or MA (Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Retail, Manufacturing or
Equivalent);
5+ years of experience managing Regulatory and Food Safety projects in a
large-scale retail environment; and
Experience with plan reviews or as a health department inspector or
sanitarian.
