This position is a temporary 8-week assignment from
5/24/2021 through 7/16/2021.
Job Purpose or Objective(s): Responsible for several operational components for the
GATHER Food Sovereignty Grant Program, aimed at increasing access to
health/fresh foods in addition to increasing awareness of and involvement
with where food comes from.
Primary Tasks:
- Contributes to Choctaw Nation Health Services Authority’s
objectives by completing specific work assignments dependent on the
intern’s best career and coursework fit and organizational needs.
- Assists in the development of marketing campaigns, multimedia
projects, stories, and other content for distribution.
- Proofread content and correct mistakes in grammar, spelling, or
factual content.
- Conduct research and interviews as needed to develop program
communications.
- Create graphic assets to be used by the program.
- Other duties as assigned within scope and competency of the
associate.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
MINIMUM
- Active student with major in Nutrition, Biology, Media/Public
relations, Marketing or related undergraduate degree program with career
aspirations in the Nutrition field.
- Ability to obtain a Food Handlers Safety Certification
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Choctaw CDIB or Choctaw member status.
- Must be currently attending an accredited college, university, or
postsecondary educational institution.
- Must be available to work 40 hour per week eight consecutive
weeks.
- Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5; 3.0 GPA or greater
preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written on a
technical level.
- Ability to lift 20lb or more
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently or in a
group and manage priorities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
