Mgr Production - Pet Food - Humboldt, TN SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for the grinding,
packaging, and shipping of ground products, both edible and inedible. This
will include offal and all related areas. The position reports directly to
the plant manager and/or the shift production manager. This position is
responsible for the efficient and safe manufacturing of quality products in a
manner that is consistent with company policies and procedures. This includes
providing supervisors with information, materials, and training, enabling
them to produce the highest quality product possible, monitoring records for
attendance, payroll, production, safety, and ergonomics, TQM, monitoring and
promoting new ideas and encouraging the development of ideas from Team
Members. Other responsibilities include overseeing the daily operation of
their assigned area or responsibility and analyzing non-routine problems and
offering recommendations for solutions to the Plant Manager and / or Shift
Production Manager. Ensure compliance with USDA, Federal and State
Regulations. Maintain entire operation of their assigned area, including but
not limited to, safety, production yields, quality, Team Member relations,
turnover and absenteeism, discipline, payroll, staffing, and line speeds.
This position is unique in that it is a complete startup of operations in all
details. This position will require people skills of the highest degree along
with Patience and understanding of the needs of a totally new crew with
little to no experience. A positive attitude and good moral building
characteristics will be essential. This position will require the ability to
evaluate each aspect of the operation for potential safety concerns and
necessary corrective actions. REQUIREMENTS: Education : Education beyond high school including special training,
vocational school, and/or college courses, or equivalent experience. Experience: 3 plus years general knowledge of production
techniques, procedures, product yields and quality, and USDA and OSHA
regulations. 3 plus years Processing managerial experience required in Food
Manufacturing. Computer Skills : Proficient
computer skills. Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with
bilingual skills preferred. Travel: As required. Work Shift: 1ST SHIFT (United States of
