R&D and QA department personnel while managing and maintaining product
development projects as assigned.

The Sr. Manager,
R&D will lead a Product Development and QA teams while working closely
with Marketing, Operations, Sales, Training and Franchise Business
Consultants to develop and deliver products according to strategies at
Godfathers Pizza Inc. The position involves active participation in technical
programs and management of personnel.

- Assumes primary
responsibility for implementation of technical programs for innovation,
product improvements and commercialization programs in support of
identified business plan objectives.
- Provide direction to
R&D staff. Manage the technical aspects and flow of R&D projects
as assigned.
- Coordinate staff to keep
projects moving utilizing R&D Product Development flowchart.
- Utilize the resources of
product vendors to achieve new product development goals.
- Actively participate in
internal product development meetings.
- Oversee and participate in
focus groups on all new products being considered as required.
- Conduct extensive research
on new equipment innovation and technology.
- Coordinate
testing of items with future potential within our system.
- Actively participate in
annual franchise product review committee meeting.
- Execute sensory testing to
support development goals.
- Attend and assist with
internal and external meetings as needed.
- Oversee preparation of
product for photo shoots, tv shoots, presentations, and tradeshows.
- Support Marketing with all
aspects of TV and print media.
- Support Training in the
production of new training technologies and support tools.
- Support Procurement and
Distribution in the identification and specification of new ingredients
and secondary (or replacement) suppliers where needed
- Oversee the regular
updating of GPI product specifications and nutritional information.
- Oversee the identification
of and solutions to ongoing quality issues within the GPI system.
- Provide regular department
updates to members of senior management.
- Manage R&D department
budget.
- Communicates effectively
cross-functionally and across diverse levels within and outside the
organization.
- Effectively manages small
groups/teams, effectively using all available resources.
- Identifies and explores
new areas of technical opportunities.
- Ensures adherence to all
company policies and procedures.

Experiences That

- Bachelor of Food Science
preferred
- Masters or certification
preferred
- Minimum of 7-10 years
Product Development
- Experience with at least 2
- 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Project Management:
Minimum 5 years of managing multiple projects across technical programs.
- People Management: Minimum
3 years of managing personnel
