Position Overview : 
We are looking for individuals to add to our fast-paced, growth orientated team. What we are seeking are individuals that possess a great passion for what they do to add to our successful Operations Team. Aside from a passion for serving customers at the highest level of proficiency, this particular position requires an acute attention to detail, ability to think outside the box, and a desire to get the job done right the first time. Ideally, our candidate will have supervisory experience and proven skills with repetitive auditing, follow through and consistent successful results. This is NOT an entry level position.
Essential Job Functions: 
Food Safety

  • Responsible for a quality assurance to assure food safety
  • Evaluating/creating/auditing all programs and policies as needed for full certification according to the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards
  • Ensure facility compliance to any legal requirements and other applicable regulations
  • Conduct Food Safety Audits with third party inspectors, USDA, FDA, DFA, County, City and Customer Inspector auditors
  • Perform internal quality audits in the facility and implement corrective actions based on audit results
  • Track and report audit results to QA, Operations and Plant Manager
  • Monitor and support all Food Safety Program activity


  • Order suspension of activities that pose threats to workers' health or safety.
  • Investigate accidents to identify causes or to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future
  • Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
  • Inspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations
  • Develop or maintain safety programs
  • Collect samples of dust, gases, vapors, or other potentially toxic materials for analysis.
  • Investigate the adequacy of ventilation, equipment, lighting, or other conditions that could affect employee health, comfort, or performance
  • Conduct safety training or education programs and demonstrate the use of safety equipment
  • Investigate health-related complaints and inspect facilities to ensure that they comply with public health legislation and regulations
  • Collaborate with other team members to institute control or remedial measures for hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions or equipment


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 — 5 years’ experience in safety management and produce distribution
  • Strong analytical and computer skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow up skills
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and Food Safety regulations
  • Must be flexible and able to juggle multiple competing projects

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 /year

Required education:

  • High school or equivalent

Required experience:

  • OSHA: 3 years
  • Safety Management: 3 years
